Meet the team

Will is the founder of WA Capital, which was established in 2010 to create an investment platform.

Prior to his current role, Will was made CEO of Dunelm Group PLC in 1996 and led the business through its IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2006. 

He remains on the Board and retains a 38% shareholding in the business. Dunelm Group plc remains a cornerstone long term investment for WA Capital.

Will founded The Stoneygate Trust in 2007.

Darren is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience.

After qualifying in 2002, Darren held a commercial role within a growing property development group whilst also managing the private office for the founder and sole shareholder.

Darren joined Will to form WA Capital in 2012. He has been central in forming the investment strategy, identifies investment opportunities, and leads on multiple workstreams across the business.

Darren has headed up and delivered all property acquisitions and disposals within the commercial property business, Marlborough Property Company.

Alex has 20 years’ experience working in finance and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007. She has a broad range of experience gained working in both practice and in various industry roles in both public and private businesses.

Alex joined the WA Capital team in 2018 and is responsible for financial reporting. Alex also manages the finances of The Stoneygate Trust.

Richard joined Marlborough Property Company in early 2022 and leads all construction activity. He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, having held senior positions in large construction companies.
